St George PLC Case Study: 10,000 Operatives – 10 Access Points – CCTV
St. George PLC specialise in high quality mixed use regeneration schemes. Their flagship One Tower Bridge project is a prestigious development overlooking the river Thames in London designed by architects Squire & Partners.
Work at the One Tower Bridge site began in early 2013 and will last approximately 4 years seeing the construction of eight individual residential buildings and a boutique 5* hotel on this landmark location.
The main contractor, Berkeley Homes, selected the security firm, Acetech security and biometric experts, Biosite Systems, to manage the large workforce of more than 10,000 operatives and enhance security throughout the project.
Working with Berkeley Homes, Biosite Systems tailored their leading biometric site access control and workforce management platform Biosite to meet site specific requirements. Together with Acetech security, Biosite Systems continue to manage 10 access points and multiple CCTV cameras in order to provide a total site security solution.
Biosite utilises advanced fingerprint biometrics to manage the entire workforce onsite without the use of cards or PIN numbers. Berkeley Homes are able to collate crucial site reports against workforce key performance indicators, whilst ensuring adherence to pre-defined site health and safety policies. This provides Berkeley Homes with a reliable site access and workforce management system that delivers cost efficiencies.
